Wilson Street becomes a street festival from 11am-2:30pm on Saturday June 15. The local businesses of Ancaster Village put on sidewalk sales and displays, KidsWorld, food trucks, local restaurant patios, live music, Teen Scene, Soapbox Derby, and so much more!
It’s Ancaster HERITAGE Days, after all. This year we welcome local historian, author, and homegrown talent, Zig Misiak of Real People’s History. Zig will be be hosting an exhibit showcasing his works and discussing the local history of Ancaster, especially as it relates to its relationship with Indigenous Peoples and the War of 1812. Zig’s good friend, and fellow Parade Marshal, Walter Gretzky, will also be on hand.
Zig and Walter will be set up during the street festival from 1130am-230pm.
The Hamilton Police Museum will be open throughout the day for all to visit. The museum is located in the Tisdale House at the corners of Wilson Street and Church Street. It is the oldest home in historical Ancaster, built sometime in the 1820s.
