Ancaster Heritage Days Bus Tour

Explore Ancaster’s Black Heritage at the Griffin House and more.  You will also visit St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church and the “Stories from the Edge” exhibition at Fieldcote Museum.  Meet in front of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church to join the tour.  Tours will leave every half hour starting at 11 am.

Celebrate Ancaster Heritage Days with a special presentation of Historic Pastimes at the Ancaster Old Town Hall.  Demonstrations will include Quilting, Wood Carving, Spinning, Quill Pen Writing and Old-Fashioned Toys. There will also be a special demonstration of 1812 home remedies that will truly make you appreciate modern medicine.

Hamilton Police Museum in Ancaster

As always, the Hamilton Police Museum will be open throughout the day for all to visit.  The museum is located in the Tisdale House at the corners of Wilson Street and Church Street.  It is the oldest home in historical Ancaster, built sometime in the 1820s.
